Drumimages is the brain child of me, Damian Waters (the D in Drum). I have been interested in photography for many years, but it wasn’t until the purchase of my first digital camera in 2001 that my passion really took off. I carry a camera with me wherever I go and many of the images displayed on this site are a result of being in the right place at the right time.
I live with my wife and two children on The Wirral and believe that I couldn't ask for a better place to be when it comes to photography. With water, marsh and estuary close to home I am in a great position to increase my ever growing library of bird, mammal and landscape images - so keep checking back!
I have had a fascination with natural history since childhood and aim to increase my knowledge and understanding of the world around us while building my photograhic portfolio.
I first realised that photography could be more than just a hobby when I won the National Wildflower Photographic Competition in 2004 with this image.
